The business group led by Román Rodríguez has acquired 100% of the shares of the basketball club, now playing in the LEB Oro league.
CB Fuenlabrada is changing hands, as the club’s former majority shareholder has accepted an offer from the business group Dominio de Proyectos for all of their shares. This marks the beginning of a new era, which the club views with great excitement following the arrival of the new management team.
Dominio de Proyectos is an international business group led by Román Rodríguez. The group specializes in the communication, technology, sports, and energy sectors, and already has experience managing organizations dedicated to entertainment and sports. According to its website, it is involved with entities such as RSD Alcalá (Alcalá de Henares), the Atlético de Madrid Academy in Mexico, Club Atlético Juventud, and Atlético San Luis.
Dominio de Proyectos expressed “the tremendous excitement of taking on this new challenge at the helm of a club with the outstanding track record of Baloncesto Fuenlabrada in the elite of Spanish sports over the past three decades. We have a clear plan to build on the club’s strengths while also opening new lines of resource generation and expansion. We would like to thank the club’s previous leadership, as well as the city council, for their warm welcome and support in facilitating our arrival.”
In the coming days, the new management has announced that a press conference will be held to share all the details about this new chapter.
