On December 3rd, coinciding with the opening of COP25, Origen World Wide held the NO PLANET B Summit at the Ágora in the Green Zone of IFEMA.
As part of the COP25 Climate Change Summit held in December 2019, ORIGENWW, the communications agency of the Dominio de Proyectos Group and a member of the CC35 Host Committee, organized a series of activities to support the commitments made by states under the Paris Agreement on Climate Change.
Among these activities, the Latino No Planet B Summit was held on December 3rd—a media event designed to highlight Ibero-America’s leadership in the fight against climate change and to generate global pressure for the implementation of the Paris Agreement and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
The No Planet B Latino Summit brought together some of the 100 most influential Latinos in environmental matters, led by Chile’s Minister of the Environment and COP25 President, Carolina Schmidt, as well as representatives from the most influential media outlets to date, to analyze the state of our planet and the role of the Latin community in ensuring the implementation of the Paris Agreement and the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
Among those present at the summit were:
Mónica Araya, Founder of Costa Rica Limpia
Federico Gutiérrez, Mayor of Medellín
Enrique Riquelme, CEO of COX Energy
Olivo Rodríguez, Ambassador of the Dominican Republic
Gonzalo Muñoz, COP25 Champion
These leaders guided discussions on Renewable Energy, Electric Mobility, Green Financing, the Future of Water, Oceans, and Biodiversity, among other climate change-related topics.
The Summit also served as a unique platform to present the 5B+ Coalition, a portfolio of 500 climate projects for Latin America and the Caribbean.
