RSD Alcalá defeated Cala Pozuelo 3-0 and crowned themselves league champions, securing the long-awaited promotion to the Segunda RFEF. Achieving the dream of promotion, the 2024/2025 season will go down in the history books for the red-clad club and the city. After the match, there was complete satisfaction among the board, players, coaching staff, and especially among the passionate fans, who showed an incredible response.
The extraordinary season by the team, managed this year by Vivar Dorado, was crowned with the presentation of the championship trophy, awarded by Paco Díez, president of the Madrid Football Federation.
Once again, the Municipal El Val stadium was packed like in the glory days for an immensely important match. This time, Palm Sunday served to confirm RSD Alcalá’s promotion.
Alcalá is now a Segunda Federación team. The red squad defeated Cala Pozuelo 3-0 to secure promotion, claim the Group 7 title of the Tercera Federación, and put an end to a long journey through the wilderness.
After a bitter draw against Rayo Vallecano B, El Val was once again dressed for a grand occasion.
Once more, 7,000 souls filled the stands to witness yet another brilliant performance from Vivar Dorado’s side.
